I have found a new challenge hosted by Nancy Merrill with the theme of Black & White. I was fortunate be shooting in B&W today and thought I would join in.
I took this today, my son Oscar was completely focused on a jigsaw puzzle, the natural sunlight was streaming through on his face, and I find the effect beautiful.
Oh wow. Great shot.
Damn. Our boys are alike.

Thanks. Really. I don’t like to put photos of the kids up too much, but sometimes you just can’t help it!

Great shot, I like how the light frames that area of his face – you can see his concentration

I like the stream of light creating divided portions in the photograph. Beautiful 👍

Thank you. It was taken on a bare which has skylights every few feet and the sun was streaming down and I couldn’t resist sitting there taking photos of Oscar.

I like how the light just shines part of the face to hide the identity of the person.

This is really a great photo in black & white!! I like this images very much! It’s looks so professional when it comes to light and shadows. Wish I could create something like this myself, but I may learn in the future.

Thank you Anita, you are very flattering. It was more luck of the moment than design, I can assure you.

Yes, you picked up on it there. I had no idea he enjoyed doing puzzles until yesterday. He was really focussed, which is rare for a five year old!

Puzzles can be a lot of fun at any age. Although they can also at times be extremely frustrating and irritating. 🙂
